(WNFL) - The Marquette men's basketball team lost at Arizona State last night, 79-to-77.  The Golden Eagles came back from a 15-point first half deficit to take a one-point lead with 11 minutes left.  Marquette was down by one with 23-point-two seconds to go, but failed to score twice down the stretch.  The Eagles' Derrick Wilson drove to the basket before his shot was blocked by Arizona State center Jordan Bachynski as the clock ran out.  Bachynski had seven blocked shots on the night.  Jahii Carson scored 23 for A-S-U, which is 6-and-0 for the first time since 1980.  Davante Gardner had 18 points and 12 rebounds for 25th-ranked Marquette, which dropped to 3-and-2.  Jake Thomas had 16 points, including five three-pointers, in a breakout game for the Eagles.  The game was part of Direc-T-V Wooden Legacy Tournament.  Marquette's next game in the tourney is on Thanksgiving at Cal State-Fullerton.
