(WNFL) - Alec Brown of U-W Green Bay has been named the Horizon League men's basketball player-of-the-week. Freshman forward Tesha Buck of Green Bay was named the women's freshman of the week, while Milwaukee native Rachel Story of Illinois-Chicago received the women's player-of-the-week honors. Brown, a senior forward, had the third triple-double in U-W-G-B history with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots against Minnesota-Duluth last Saturday. Brown moved into second-place in Horizon League history with 229 career blocks. Buck, a freshman forward, had 17 points, 10 rebounds, eight steals, seven assists, and a blocked shot in two Green Bay victories at the T-D Bank Classic in Vermont. Buck leads Horizon League players with a three-to-one assist to turnover ratio. Story, a guard, scored 27 points in Illinois-Chicago's win over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville last Friday, and 23 against Miami-of-Ohio. Story made a career-high five three-pointers in both those contests.
