GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Green Bay area tourism officials are sharing their thoughts on a major cable channel giving the green and gold light to a reality TV show based on Packers fans called “Cheeseheads”.
Brad Toll is President of the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau and says they would have some concerns if the TBS show portrays the community and fans in a negative light.
Toll says they spend a lot of money advertising the area and promoting a positive image.
“Cheeseheads” is a working title for the show that is being produced by a man who also helped to produce MTV’s “Real World”, and the “Bachelor”.
The show follows diehard Packers fans and the hilarious subculture that ensues.
The show was pitched to advertisers in New York Wednesday.
No timetable has been set for the show.
