Crew walks off the plank

Andrew McCutcheon launched an opposite field, walk off home run to lead off the bottom of the 12th inning as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 at PNC Park Tuesday night.  McCutcheon's 5th homer of the season came on a 2-2 pitch from Mike Fiers.  The Brewers took an early lead as Jean Segura hit a home run in the first inning.  Ryan Braun and Nori Aoki each had three hits as Milwaukee built a 3-1 lead.  Starter Kyle Lohse struggled with control, walking five in five and two thirds innings but he left with a 3-2 lead.   The Pirates tied the game in the 8th off John Axford who gave up a single and RBI double to Russell Martin.   The Brewers were held scoreless over the final seven innings by the Pittsburgh bullpen.   Milwaukee (16-21) has fallen 8 and a half games behind division leading St. Louis.  They'll send Yovani Gallardo against Wandy Rodriguez in game three of the four game series Wednesday night.  Pre-game coverage begins at 5:30 PM on WTAQ.
