MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Wisconsin’s average gas price is almost 20 cents more per gallon than the national average – and it’s almost 40 cents more in Metro Milwaukee.
The AAA and the Oil Price Information Service said Monday that the average Wisconsin price for regular unleaded is $3.73. That’s almost a nickel more than a week ago, and it’s 21 cents above the AAA’s national average of $3.52.
The auto club listed a price for metro Milwaukee at $3.90. That’s 38 cents more than the national norm, but it’s 30 cents cheaper than what folks in Chicagoland are paying.
Bloomberg News says oil futures are both rising and falling Monday, amid new tensions in the oil-producing Middle East – plus growing speculation by investors that crude prices will rise as the summer gets closer.
