SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ) - Police in Sheboygan arrest suspect in a stabbing early Saturday.
Authorities say it happened in the 1000 block of St. Clair Avenue.
Officers were notified around 3 a.m. whne the 36-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with a serious injury to his neck.
Investigators say the victim and alleged suspect, a 33-year-old Sheboygan man, knew each other well.
They became involved in an argument that turned into a physical altercation and the victim suffered a puncture wound. Officials say his injuries are non-life threatening and he is expected to recover.
The alleged suspect left the scene right after the incident and was found five hours later at a home in the 1300 block of Michigan Avenue.
Officers took him into custody, and transported him to the Sheboygan County Detention Center on a recommended charge of Second Degree Reckless Injury.
The investigation continues. Officials say alcohol appears to be a contributing factor.
