MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - Two Milwaukee teens will each spend 25 years in prison for killing a 34-year-old man, and wounding one of the teens’ mothers.

19-year-old Juan Ramos and 17-year-old Erik Rosales were sentenced separately, after they pleaded guilty to reduced charges of reckless homicide and reckless injury.

Ramos’ mother was killed last April 11th in the bedroom of her home on Milwaukee’s south side.

Prosecutors said Ramos was upset because Elideo Jiminez – who was dating Ramos’s mother – had touched his sister inappropriately. The two teens were drinking just before Rosales stabbed Jimenez 30 times – and Ramos stabbed his mother two dozen times.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Ellen Brostrom said street justice cannot be tolerated. Ramos said he was sorry, and said he could have handled things differently.
