East Troy has turned into the streak killers and moved to the Division 3 championship game by ending Neillsville's 56 game winning streak, 68-56 today at the Resch Center. Last week at the sectionals, East Troy avenged last year's semifinal loss at the Kohl Center by denying Oostburg a 7th straight trip to the championships. The Trojans did by dialing up long distance, tying a single game tournament record with 11 three point shots. They also clamped down on Warriors star Jennifer Lindner. After scoring 22 points in the first half, Lindner managed only 4 the rest of the way. East Troy was led by Breanna Gaspervich with 25 points. She also had five steals. Rachel Atchison hit 6 of 12 three pointers to finish with 19. The Trojans (26-1) will now try to end Kewaunee's hope for a second straight state title Saturday afternoon.
