The 38th WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament is about to begin! The opening game is a Division 5 semifinal between Wausau Newman Catholic (20-7) and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption (26-1). That will be followed by undefeated South Shore (26-0) and Barneveld (26-1) which knocked out defending D5 state champ Heritage Christian in the Sectional Finals last weekend.  Division 4 semifinals begin at 6:35 PM tonight with Algoma (24-2) facing Cuba City (25-1) followed by Colfax (25-1) against The Prairie School of Racine (24-2).  Check back to the web site regularly as we will post game stories, statistics and notes after every game all weekend.
