It got very cold inside the Kohl Center Sunday as the 16th ranked Wisconsin Badgers fell to Purdue 69-56, a costly loss for Bucky's Big Ten title hopes. The Badgers built at 13 point first half lead but Purdue narrowed the gap to five at intermission. In the second half, Wisconsin went 8 minutes without a field goal, shooting just 29 percent for the half and at one point, missed 18 consecutive three point attempts. D.J. Byrd led the Boilermakers with 22 points. Jarred Berggren scored a game high 13 for Wisconsin, Ryan Evans and Sam Dekker each put up 10. Wisconsin falls to 20-9 overall on the season and they are now 11-5 in the conference, two games behind league leading Indiana. Wisconsin is in a four way tie for second place with Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State. They close out the regular season at East Lansing Thursday and at Penn State on the weeekend.
