A  notoriously slow starter, Rickie Weeks is sizzling this month.  The Brewer second baseman cracked a pair of home runs and drove in four, leading Milwaukee over the Chicago Cubs in a series opener at Miller Park Tuesday night.   Weeks is hitting .439 in June.   The Brewers had to battle from behind after Kyle Lohse gave up a three run shot to Nate Schierholtz in the third inning.   Lohse settled down, working seven innings giving up just those three runs on 8 hits for his third win of the year.  Juan Francisco also went deep and Jonathan Lucroy added a two run double as the Brewers put the game away with five runs in the 5th off loser Edwin Jackson.  The Brewers have won 19 of the last 21 meetings with the Cubs at Miller Park and move ahead of Chicago by one game at the bottom of the NL Central Division.  Yovani Gallardo works for the Brewers Wednesday night.  Pre-game coverage begins at 6:35 PM on WTAQ.

Add the name of Alfredo Figaro to the expanding disabled list.   He was placed on the 15 day DL Tuesday.  Carlos Gomez will not play until the weekend but x-rays were negative after he injured his shoulder making a catch at the wall on Sunday.  Corey Hart will visit an orthopedic specialist in Los Angeles after complaining of soreness in his left knee.   He had surgery on the right knee in spring training.
