UPDATE: Suspect descriptions released in vehicle fires

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Descriptions of the people thought to be involved in a pair of vehicle fires on Green Bay's west side Monday have been released.

Green Bay police say it began just after 5:30 a.m., when officers were called to the 1600 block of Bond Street for a report of vehicles hitting and damaging mailboxes and garbage cans.

Then, just before 6 a.m., officers were dispatched to Perkins Park on North Fisk Street and ASPIRO on Dousman Street. Police say they found a stolen Ford Explorer at the park, and stolen Chevy Malibu at ASPIRO. Both were on fire. No one was hurt in the fires.

Police say the Malibu was stolen from a home in the 1700 block of Bond Street.

Officers say all the incidents appear to be related.

The person who reported the fire at ASPIRO said a man and woman were seen leaving the area. The two were described as a Native American male, around 6 feet tall, with a thin build and short dark hair; and a Native American female, between 5'4" and 5'6", with a think build and long black hair in a ponytail.

Anyone with information is asked to call Green Bay police at (920) 448-3208.
