If one picture’s worth a thousand words, LeAnn Rimes ’ hatred for bullying comes through loud and clear in a new ad campaign.
The singer and actress is shown standing and giving the one finger salute against a red background in a photo for The New F Word Campaign, which launches on Tuesday. The photo, which includes the words "Give Bullying the Bird," was designed for Friend Movement, an organization that was “created to help show positive anti-bullying images through art and media,” according to its website .
According to the website, The New F Word Campaign aims to encourage the use of the word friend to project inner strength and confidence.
Marco Gonzales , the vice president of brand development for Friend Movement, tells E! Online the singer is "perfect" for the anti-bullying campaign because she is a friend of his and he has "seen over the years how she’s been bullied in the press..." Gonzales adds, "I think her photo and the message behind it will resonate with many around the world who have been bullied.”
Other celebrities involved in the campaign include Glee star Darren Criss and fashion guru Tim Gunn .
