MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WTAQ) - The Minneapolis Police Department has placed two of its officers on administrative leave for an incident at a Green Bay bar late last month.
Details of the internal affairs investigation were not released, but it involved former Green Bay police officer Shawn Powell.
WCCO-TV reports that the officers, who are white, got into an argument with two black men on June 29th and used racial slurs.
Green Bay Police questioned the officers.
Sources say they explained what happened.
The officers also referred to Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau’s sexuality and used a sexually derogatory term for a woman.
