OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) - A double murder trial in Oconto County has been delayed.
30-year-old Daniel Schmidt is accused of killing 32-year-old Kimberly Rose and her 21-year-old brother Leonard Marsh in May 2009. Investigators say Schmidt and Rose were having an affair.
The delay is because special prosecutor Daniel Wambach has been appointed a judge in Jefferson County. The postponement will give officials time to find a new special prosecutor.
Schmidt's trial was originally due to begin Friday, but will now take place in October.
