WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAU) - A Stevens Point native has been named Chief of Staff for Wisconsin’s newest U.S. Senator. Recently elected Senator Tammy Baldwin named Bill Murat to the post. Murat was also Baldwin’s Chief of Staff in the House of Representatives for eleven years, and served as the District Director before that.
Murat served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1995 until 1998, and also as the Portage County District Attorney in 1989 and 1990.
