MCFARLAND, WI (WTAQ) - The deaths of two people in a car fire in Dane County have been ruled accidental.

The victims were identified Wednesday as 24-year-old Brandon Slattery and 21-year-old Amy Damon, both of Edgerton.

Their bodies were found in a burned out vehicle, after firefighters put out the blaze. It happened on New Year’s Day in McFarland, south of Madison.

The Dane County medical examiner’s office said there’s no evidence that Slattery and Damon were victims of a crime. Authorities continue to investigate.
