After beating Charlotte Saturday night for their 50th win of the season, the Milwaukee Bucks had a hard time hitting the road.
Daylight savings wiped out an hour of sleep and a March storm forced the Bucks to have their plane de-iced twice and they didn’t arrive in San Antonio until early Sunday morning. The exhaustion might have had something to do with the Bucks 121-114 loss to the Spurs.
LeMarcus Aldridge piled up 29 points with 15 rebounds as the Spurs won their fifth straight game. The Bucks have now dropped three of their last five. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points with 13 rebounds but rarely had clean drives to the basket. Eric Bledsoe added 21 but it wasn’t enough.
The Bucks still have the NBA’s best record at 50-17 but their lead over second place Toronto is two games after the Raptors beat the Miami Heat Sunday 125-104.
Milwaukee’s road trip continues in New Orleans Tuesday night.
