ST. PAUL, MN (WSAU) - Minnesota senators are again considering whether to permit Sunday liquor store sales. A vote could come from the Senate Commerce Committee soon, as they are discussing the proposal Monday.
Duluth Democratic Senator Roger Reinert introduced the bill less than a month ago. He tried the same proposal two years ago, but it was tied up in committee. Reinert's bill would also allow liquor sales on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Minnesota is one of 12 states that still outlaw Sunday liquor sales. None of their neighboring states ban Sunday sales.
