WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ) - A hotel clerk in Waupaca was threatened with a knife during an armed robbery Wednesday night.

Police in Waupaca say the robbery happened at the Waupaca Inn on Fulton Street around 7:45 p.m. Authorities say the hotel clerk was restrained and the suspect threatened her with a knife.

The suspect is described as a white woman, in her late 20s or early 30s, about 5'6", with brown eyes and a medium complexion. Officials say the suspect told the clerk she had a gun, but never showed it.

The suspect did get away with some money.
