Robinson reaches Canton

Dave Robinson was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.  The former Packers linebacker, nominated by the senior committee, becomes the 12th member of the Vince Lombardi Glory Years team and 22nd Packer to be enshrined in the Hall.  A former number one pick out of Penn State in 1963, Robinson played in Green Bay for a decade before getting traded to Washington for his final two seasons.  He was a big play man on the stout Lombardi defenses through the first two Super Bowls, perhaps no play was bigger than chasing down Don Meredith to force a Tom Brown end zone interception in Dallas to preserve the 1966 NFL Championship game victory 34-27.  Also elected Saturday was fellow senior nominee Curley Culp of Kansas City, along with Bill Parcells, Cris Carter, Warren Sapp, Jonathan Ogden and Larry Allen.
