The Milwaukee Brewers couldn't hold a lead against the Texas Rangers and lost the chance to sweep the American League West Division leading team in Arlington Wednesday night. Juan Francisco hit a pair of home runs including a three run blast that gave Tyler Thornburg a 4-2 lead after six innings. Thornburg allowed only 1 earned run but was finished for the night. In the bottom of the seventh, Michael Gonzalez came out to pitch but walked the first two batters he faced. He got the hook in favor of John Axford who promptly walked the bases full. Elvis Andrus brought home a run and then Ian Kinsler delivered the go ahead two run single to cap a three run rally. Joe Nathan protected the lead with his 36th save and the Rangers gained a split with a 5-4 victory. Axford (5-6) took the loss. The Brewers wrapped up a nine game road trip with a 5-4 record. Milwaukee (52-67) returns to Miller Park to open a seven game homestand against division rivals beginning with the Cincinnati Reds.
