Packers General Manager Ted Thompson has signed free agent tight end Matthew Mulligan to a one year contract, believed to be around the veteran's minimum salary. Mulligan (6-4, 265) was an undrafted free agent signed by Miami in 2008. He also spent time on the Tennessee practice squad before playing parts of three season with the Jets. Last year, he appeared in all 16 games for the St. Louis Rams. More of an in-line than pass receiving tight end, Mulligan will essentially replaced Tom Crabtree who signed a restricted free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
