RIPON, WI (WTAQ) - Alliance Laundry is honoring a long-time employee.
Melvin Blank is celebrating his 60th anniversary with the Ripon-based firm. Blank began working at Alliance in 1952 when he was 19.
To honor Blank's service, Alliance is dedicating one of its new manufacturing facilities to him.
“Melvin has seen firsthand the evolution of Alliance Laundry over the past decades,” Todd Kaull, Alliance Laundry’s Plant Manager, said in a statement. “He embodies the history and culture of the company and we want to celebrate his contributions, dedication and commitment to the industry. As a company we would like to congratulate and thank him for all his years of service.”
Blank currently works in the plastics injection molding department where he is a machine operator and responsible for the management of plastic parts after molding.
“I am humbled that Alliance Laundry has honored me with this recognition,” Blank said. “Alliance is my home and I’m so grateful for the opportunities, experience, friendship and support this company has shown me over the years. I'm happy to be able to continue my amazing journey with this great company.”
Mike Schoeb, Alliance Laundry’s President and CEO presented Blank with a plaque during the dedication ceremony Monday.
Once the company's $23 million expansion is complete, the plaque will hang in the new facility.
