Since August 20, the Milwaukee Brewers have been the best team in baseball and they won their fourth straight game Wendesday night beating the Pirates in Pittsburgh 3-1.  Norichika Aoki led off the game with a solo home run off Kyle McPhearson, his ninth of the year.  The Brewers added single runs in the 5th and the 7th.  Marco Estrada helped himself with an RBI single as he worked seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits with four strikeouts to improve to 4-6 on the season.  It was his first start in seven days.  John Axford picked up his 30th save but served up a solo home to Andrew McCutcheon in the 9th to spoil what could have been Milwaukee's third straight shutout victory.  Jean Segura delivered a double and a triple scoring two runs in the victory.  Milwaukee (76-72) is a season high four games over .500 and stays within two and a half games of St. Louis for the final wild card spot in the National League.  The Cardinals shut out Houston Wednesday night 4-0.  Mike Fiers will face Wandy Rodriguez in the series finale Thursday afternoon.
