Carrie Underwood has been added as a performer on the 40th Anniversary American Music Awards coming up Sunday, November 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. She joins previously announced performer Taylor Swift , along with Pink , Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera .

Fan votes determine the winners at the American Music Awards.  Voting is now open at AMA.ABC.com .
