Trisha Yearwood moved to the Tulsa, OK area to be with her husband Garth Brooks more than a decade ago, and she's fallen in love with the place and the people there.

"Oklahoma is the land of common sense," Trisha tells Southern Living .  "Everyone is practical and down to earth, and none of them care if you’re some hit singer, which makes it a wonderful place to raise your children."

She adds, "The nicest people you’re ever going to meet live here.”

Trisha filmed season two of her Food Network Show, Trisha's Southern Kitchen , in Oklahoma.  It's now airing on Saturdays.
