UNDATED, WI (WTAQ) - A survey by State Farm Insurance shows one in every 79 Wisconsin drivers will hit a deer in the next year.
Wisconsin ranks seventh among the states when it comes to how likely a deer-vehicle collision is. West Virginia topped the list for a sixth straight year.
Drivers there are twice as likely to hit a deer as they are in this state.
November is the month when deer-vehicle collisions are most likely, and most of those accidents happen between 6 and 9 p.m.
The average property damage cost of a run-in with a deer is a little over $3,300, up almost 4.5% from last year.
