Former President Bill Clinton to stump for Obama at UWGB


GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - More details are coming out about former President Bill Clinton's visit to Green Bay on Friday.

President Barack Obama's campaign says Clinton will be stumping for the Democratic incumbent at the Kress Events Center on the UW-Green Bay campus.

Doors to the event open at 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. They can be obtained at seven locations in Northeast Wisconsin. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are available from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

The locations are:

Clinton’s visit comes on the same day that First Lady Michelle Obama has campaign visits in both Racine and Wausau to promote early voting. In-person early voting begins in Wisconsin on Monday. 

Clinton's last appearance in Wisconsin came in Milwaukee in June just before Gov. Scott Walker's recall election. He was campaigning on behalf of Democratic challenger Tom Barrett.
