Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball was named the Big Ten's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Purdue last Saturday. Ball rushed for 247 yards and scored three touchdowns in Wisconsin's 38-14 victory in West Lafayette. He pushed his career total to 72 touchdowns, one more than Ron Dayne, giving Ball both the Wisconsin and Big Ten career record. He needs five more scores to break the NCAA career touchdown record.
Wisconsin (5-2, 2-1) will host Minnesota on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium. Gophers coach Jerry Kill may be back on the sidelines after suffering a seizure during Minnesota's game last weekend against Northwestern. Badger starting left tackle Ricky Wagner is doubtful after injuring his knee against Purdue.
