APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - A former Appleton man is now facing five felony counts of possession of child pornography after investigators found photos in his Yahoo messenger account.
The state DOJ’s Divison of Criminal Investigation identified 25-year-old Andreas Petanitis’ email address was used to upload child porn onto the internet.
On September 24th, Petantits consented to an on-scene forensic preview of a laptop computer belonging to him.
According to the complaint, a computer forensic analyst observed images containing children engaged in sexually explicit conduct located on the computer's hard drive in the Yahoo messenger picture folder.
Petantits has since moved to Eau Claire.
Arraignment is scheduled for December 17th.
