ASHLAND, WI (WTAQ) - Forecasters say as much as a foot of snow is now expected to fall in Bayfield, Ashland and Iron Counties.

Strong winds on top of the snow fall have made travel treacherous. The Department of Transportation warns some spots are slick.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning through Friday afternoon for the area along Lake Superior.
