APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - A not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect plea has been withdrawn by a man suspected of stabbing a 73-year-old man in a Darboy park.

Devon Helmrath changed his plea Friday. He'll stand trial on February 13th.

Helmrath says voices told him to hurt someone, which led up to the July attack. The victim survived and was able to call police.
