DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) - Three deployments of area OWI Task Force patrols this weekend led to eleven arrests for drunken driving.
In Brown County, authorities were in Hobart and Lawrence on Friday, and De Pere on Saturday. A person with two kids in their vehicle was arrested for 4th offense OWI, during those patrols.
For the first time, Manitowoc County operated an OWI Task Force. Officers arrested a 19-year-old for drunken driving after watching the driver go through a stoplight at 40 miles per hour with 4 minors in the vehicle.
Fox Valley's OWI Task Force worked on Sunday after the Packers-Cardinals game in the Appleton area. Officers arrested a person for 5th offense OWI, along with having an outstanding warrant from 2005 for failure to appear for an OWI citation.
Eleven people were arrested for drunken driving during OWI Task Force patrols this weekend.
34 officers from 11 agencies took part.
In addition to the arrests, the three OWI Task Forces combined for 155 stops, 86 citations, and 123 warnings.
