Jake Owen and his wife Lacey are naming their daughter Pearl in honor of Jake's godmother, who passed away in July. Jake and Lacey found out they were having a girl before Pearl died, and Jake tells Nashville Fox affiliate WZTV , "We were able to tell her before she passed, and now [our little girl] will carry out the name of Pearl."

Jake and Lacey will welcome their daughter later this month.  He's taking some time off for the baby's arrival after a run of shows through South Carolina and Georgia in the coming days.
