APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Appleton ranks among the top 10 cities to raise your kids.  That’s according to a nationally compiled list from Kiplinger, who is a Washington D-C based publishing company that specialized in personal finance and business forecasts.  Appleton placed 6^th overall on the Great Cities to Raise Your Kids list.  Kiplinger looked at nearly 400 metropolitans.  The firm’s findings used statistics from the U-S Census Bureau and other factors like affordability, household incomes, recreation, schools and crime rates.  Kiplinger publishes Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report and other newsletters.
