EDGERTON, WI (WTAQ) - A three-year-old boy escaped serious injuries when he fell about 40-feet from a third-story roof in far southern Wisconsin.
It happened Sunday afternoon in Edgerton in Rock County.
Police said the youngster had non-life-threatening injuries when he was taken to American Family Children’s Hospital at UW-Madison.
Officials said the 3-year-old was playing with other siblings in his room when he climbed onto the roof from his open bedroom window – and he apparently slipped on the wet roof and fell.
The roof was wet due to Sunday’s heavy rains. An investigation into the accident is continuing.
