CHICAGO (WTAQ) - Milwaukee Brewers leadoff man Norichika Aoki pounded three hits, stole four bases and scored a couple of runs, but all that wasn’t enough when the Brewer bullpen imploded in an 8-6 loss to the White Sox Saturday.
Alex Rios ripped a tie-breaking single in the 7th inning to put Chicago ahead to stay. Among the improbable heroes for the Sox was Dayan Viciedo who came into the game hitting just .132, but hit a home run and drove in half of the White Sox runs.
Ryan Braun extended his hitting streak to 17 games in a row in the defeat. He has hit in 27 straight interleague games. Braun was the Brewers’ designated hitter in the game.
The Brewers placed starting pitcher Shaun Marcum on the 15-day disabled list with a sore elbow. The team activated first baseman Travis Ishikawa.
