OCONTO FALLS, WI (WTAQ) - A plea agreement has been reached for a 16-year-old Oconto Falls boy accused of starting a fire at St. Anthony Elementary School, burning it down. Vincent Enneper was in court Wednesday where his attorney withdrew his earlier plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. Under the agreement, Enneper pleaded to contest to arson charges for burning down the school, burglary, and attempted arson involving a 2006 fire at St. Anthony’s Parish in exchange the judge found him guilty of arson. The February 21st fire caused an estimated $2 million in damages and displaced nearly 50 students. Enneper apparently had a fascination with fire since he was a kid, and according to the criminal complaint he claimed to have started several pieces of paper on fire to watch them burn, but did not intend to burn down the school. Enneper is scheduled to be sentenced August 21st.
