CINCINNATI (WTAQ) - Two-run home runs by Ryan Ludwick and Brandon Phillips in the 1st inning set the stage for another Cincinnati Reds victory Saturday night at home by a 6-2 score.

Milwaukee Brewers ace Yovani Gallardo gave up both of the roundtrippers as the Reds won for the 4th time in 6 games since All-Star first baseman Joey Votto was injured.

The defending National League Central Division Champion Brewers fell 9.5 games behind the Reds in the standings.

Reds starter Bronson Arroyo gave up 5 hits and 2 runs in 6 innings to win his 5th game. Gallardo took the loss.

Phillips’ home run gave him 7 RBIs in his last three games.

Corey Hart had Milwaukee’s only run batted in, while a second Brewer run crossed the plate when Aramis Ramirez grounded into a double play.
