MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - A man charged with killing his landlord in Madison was still on the loose this morning, after his wife and child whom he was believed to be with were found unharmed. 24-year-old Edgar Salinas-Leal was charged Monday with first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting death of 38-year-old Darrell Ballweg at the victim’s duplex last Friday night. Dane County prosecutors said Salinas-Leal was upset that Ballweg had refused to give food to Salinas-Leal’s wife – so the suspect went to get a gun, and he returned and shot Ballweg. Police said Salinas-Leal then stole the victim’s car and drove away. Police spokesman Joel DeSpain could not say where the woman and child were located – but they were found to be okay this morning. And he said the murder victim’s car was discovered in a parking lot
