The Fighter star Mark Wahlberg has challenged a retired Canadian ice hockey player to a boxing bout.
The Hollywood actor, who played real life boxer 'Irish' Micky Ward in The Fighter, approached his longtime friend Tie Domi and challenged him to a sparring session at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, where the former hockey star played with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
However, Wahlberg insists his pal is too scared to fight him.
He tells Canadian news site TheGlobeAndMail.com, ""He still won't accept the challenge. He keeps saying that he doesn't want to mess up my pretty face and this and that. But the thing is he has this mystique about him. Especially here in his home country, and he doesn't want that ruined by getting knocked out by an actor.""
