ROCHESTER, MN (WTAQ) - The FAA has started to investigate the crash landing of a plane that was heading to Rochester Minnesota from Green Bay – where the four people inside had attended Sunday’s Packer-Viking game.
The pilot, 23-year-old Scott Lebovitz of Owatonna Minnesota, escaped injury. His three passengers were all taken to a hospital for treatment of bumps and bruises. They were a 9-year-old boy and two men ages 36 and 38, all from Byron Minnesota.
Authorities said the aircraft missed a runway while landing in heavy fog at Rochester’s airport on Sunday night.
Officials said the plane bounced, and then flipped over in a field before landing on its top. The pilot was able to call 911.
