LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ) - There’s another sign that Wisconsin is about to finish its warmest year on record.
The average high in La Crosse was a balmy 46.7 degrees in November, while the average low was just over 29. And the overall average of 38 is 2.1 degrees above normal.
La Crosse also kept getting less rain than normal, one sign that the Drought of 2012 continues in much of Wisconsin. The shortfall in La Crosse was about three-fourths-of-an-inch.
Last week, forecasters said we’d get less snow in December than normal. In La Crosse, folks normally shovel about 11 inches of snow in a typical December.
Much of Wisconsin was still foggy at mid-morning. Rain is in the statewide forecast Monday, with record highs possible in some places in the 50’s and 60’s.
Once the rain clears out, cooler Canadian air is due in – and all of Wisconsin can expect highs in the 30’s Tuesday and Wednesday.
A slight warm-up is expected Thursday, along with our next chance of precipitation.
