Wisconsin Badgers head football coach Brett Bielema announced on Sunday, via his Twitter account, the Maryland transfer Danny O'Brien will be the starting quarterback.   O'Brien beat out senior Curt Phillips, coming back from three ACL surgeries in his Wisconsin career and redshirt freshman Joel Stave.  The Badgers had their final intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday and they'll open the season Saturday, September 1, hosting Northern Iowa at Camp Randall Stadium.
