MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - As the season opener approaches, the battles for a starting spot on the Badgers offensive line are starting to clear up.
Wisconsin is legendary for its offensive line performances.
Kyle Costigan worked almost all of Friday’s practice with the number-one offense at right guard. Senior Robert Burge did most of his work as the number 2 right tackle, taking the place of Jonathan Coon, who was injured.
Burge has the edge in on the field experience, though Costigan is considered to be more mobile.
Costigan switched from defensive tackle to the offensive side last spring.
