Newcomer Thomas Rhett was never in real danger of becoming an NFL star. Though he played football as a kid, he admits he was pretty awful at the sport. However, Thomas did learn a lot of valuable lessons through the sport that he carries with him to this day.

"I made some of the best friends ever playing football and going through like three-a-days at football camp and having that camaraderie of brothers, if you will," Thomas says. "So, it really made a huge impact on my life in the way that hard work pays off and just having good friends."

Thomas's debut single, "Something to Do with My Hands," will be included on his upcoming EP due out on iTunes August 28. His next single, "Beer with Jesus," will also be featured on that release.
