Little Marnie Mae Ellis arrived earlier this week (begs30Jul12) and her proud dad has taken to Twitter.com to boast about his new bundle of joy.

He wrote, ""What a couple of days... Gold medals from everywhere and... oh we had a beautiful baby girl called Marnie Mae Ellis 6lb 5oz of gorgeousness!""

The new arrival comes as Great Britain celebrates a handful of gold medals at the London Olympics - much to proud dad Ellis' joy.

Outhwaite and Ellis are already parents to three-year-old Florence.
