Green Bay, Wis. (WHBL-Learfield) - James Jones and Greg Jennings will be the starting wide receivers on Sunday night when the Green Bay Packers host Dallas. All-pro Donald Driver will miss the game with a quadriceps injury and he’ll get an extra week to recover since they have their bye next week. But for now, the receivers and the rest of the Packer offense will try to beat a 1-and-6 Cowboy team that’s hungry for a win. Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin says the entire Green Bay offense has been inconsistent this year and that needs to change quickly if the Packers want to be 6-and-3 going into their bye week. The Green Bay offense ranks 16th in the N-F-L with 336 total yards per game, after finishing in sixth place in that department a year ago. Philbin says the offense has played well on a sporadic basis, but they haven’t done it for four quarters yet. The offense has been hurt by the losses of running back Ryan Grant and tight end Jermichael Finley for the season. Tackle Mark Tauscher has been out for a month, and rookie Bryan Bulaga will start in his place again on Sunday night.
You can hear that game on WHBL Sunday evening. Coverage begins at 5pm - kickoff at approximately 7:30pm.
