You would be proud if your son did this too!
Police in Greenfield, WI did a little detective work to find the mystery boy who donated his savings of $10.03 to the department.
He walked in on the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and shook more than $10 bucks out of his bag onto the counter.
He told the woman at the desk he was making a donation to the police but he walked out before she could get his name.
The cops were touched and wanted to thank him, so they put video of the kid up on Youtube and their Facebook page asking for help ID’ing him.
They tracked him down and found out the 6th grader (Max) had written stories about the courage of police and firefighters who responded to the Sept. 11th tragedy.
There was a personal connection too…his grandpa was a police officer who was killed in the line of duty back in 1974.
The department told his entire story and thanked the 11-year-old on their Facebook page.
